In recent years, there were concerns about the rise of unauthorized use of such data. However, the concerns are in decline due to the rapid growth of steganography, watermarking, and encryption methods. Concerning the importance of this issue, this proposal basically focused on video steganography. Steganography is the practice of concealing a file within another file. Due to the large size and high redundancy of video files, such files are suitable for encryption. Video encryption techniques fall into two major categories, embedding into compressed or uncompressed area. The first emphasizes on encryption security and speed and the latter on encryption capacity. In uncompressed techniques, the video needs to be completely uncompressed into consecutive frames. Then, data is embedded into each frame by encryption techniques. The capacity is high in such techniques while having low speed (with great exponential space complexity) and not using the dependence between the frames. In compressed techniques, data are embedded into the motion vectors of the video. On the one hand, it requires not only no file opening that speeds up the encryption, but also completely uses the dependence between the frames that in turn improves the encryption security. On the other hand, exponential space complexity is decreased when the video is processed in the compressed domain, this means that it can be applied in ordinary computer systems, mobile phones, and tablets. The researcher aimed to domestically provide and implement a new algorithm for encrypting data into video files by studying common encryption techniques based on the concept of embedding into compressed area. An algorithm which intelligently divides and encrypts the secret data in each vector by using motion vectors and checking data changes in each vector.
